K KIDS CLUB

K-Kids is the largest service organization for elementary school students, with more than 42,000 members worldwide. The first K-Kids was chartered in 2000. Today, there are more than 1,200 clubs. K-Kids is structured only on the local club level but is supported by the Kiwanis International Office in Indianapolis, Indiana, which provides programs, literature and opportunities to relate to teenagers from countries worldwide.

Washington Elementary School students benefit from the Springfield Kiwanis Club’s Community Partnership with the school. With the help of business and other non-profit organizations, Kiwanis has provided them with a large volume of school supplies, hats, coats, & mittens. Kiwanians donated a refurbished bike rack as well as helmets for their 5th graders each year. Individual Kiwanis members have given countless hours of reading aloud and mentoring.
